About Me

Hi, I'm Sarah

First and foremost - Mum of six, Yaya of two, Wife of One!

I'm a self taught illustrator, living in what I would consider to be one of the most beautiful Counties in England - Suffolk.

I grew up in London and still love the big ornate buildings with their intricate mouldings.  But now, living so close to the sea and the countryside, overlooking the River Orwell and in amongst the beautifully historical listed buildings of Suffolk, I'm inspired by the textures, movement and beauty in the way our natural surroundings can't help but reclaim everything it touches.  As I've gotten older I appreciate the slower pace of this wonderful little corner of the world and I've found that my art reflects much of that peace and calm.

My biggest seller are my greetings cards showcasing some of my drawings.  I particularly love using pen & ink and so the vast majority of my work is monochromatic.  I love that with less colour to distract, the textures as well as the light and shadow are able to speak out.  I have a deliberately 'wobbly' style which, I find creates warmth, movement and informality.  It also removes any pressure for perfection. :).

I have been approached by a number of florists with the request to produce some floral tribute cards, as the ones that currently sit on their shelves have not been updated for decades.  I am so pleased with the way my sketches sit on these cards, their neutral nature adding understated elegance while allowing the beauty of the flower arrangement to shine.

I would love it if you could make a space in your shop for some of my products.  I'm so very proud of them.

Sarah
